Decatur Holiday Marketplace History

Now in its 33rd year, the Decatur Holiday Marketplace will once again take place in person at Clairemont Elementary the weekend of December 13-14.  The school will magically transform into an inviting artists’ market accompanied by delicious food and a festive atmosphere. Our returning and new artisans and makers will be selling their unique handmade items including paintings, glass art, jewelry, pottery, gourmet food items and much more. We will also have professional food vendors and food trucks to keep you fueled for shopping, and live music to keep you dancing through the halls.. We invite you to join us at Clairemont Elementary School at 155 Erie Avenue for this wonderful community tradition. All proceeds from the event support learning initiatives, community engagement events, and teacher grants that benefit the Clairemont students.  Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for the latest updates.

What's Included

The Artist/Vendor Application is open from August 15, 2024, until September 30, 2024.  The non-refundable application fee is $25.  Applicants will be notified about whether they have been accepted into Marketplace by Monday, October 7, 2024.

If accepted into Marketplace, our booth fee is $200.  Our booths are located throughout the school’s classrooms and hallways.  The booth space is approximately 8’ x 6.’  Each vendor is responsible for providing their own booth set-up, though we do have a limited number of tables and chairs available to rent.

This year, we are also offering a limited number of dessert/food vendor booths that will be located inside of our Café.  If you are interested in a Café booth, please indicate your preference in the “special considerations” section of your application.  Our Café booth fee is $125.

All artists participating in Marketplace will receive a $5.00 food voucher to be used at our participating food trucks.

All artists will be listed on this website as well as ClairemontPTA.org.

Our Facebook and Instagram accounts for Decatur Holiday Marketplace will highlight artists and their work using photos that are submitted.

This is the 33rd Anniversary of the Marketplace and we are working on additional opportunities to publicize our long-lasting community event.

Notification for all applications will be sent on October 9th.

Our goal is to offer a variety of original arts and crafts in the Marketplace. Entries are judged primarily, though not strictly, on quality, marketability and originality. All artwork must be the original handmade work of the artist. Only Mediums listed on the application and approved by Decatur Holiday Marketplace can be sold during the show.

Previous inclusion in the Marketplace does not guarantee future selection.

This is an in-person event only this year. We will not be offering the Online Market.

At this time of notification, the appropriate (tax deductible) Booth Fee will be due.
